Our ever-popular Syrah continues to impress with every new vintage released. The 2018 presents a deep purple hue with a dark core and deep intensity. The wine draws you in with aromas of dark fruit to match the colour – brambles, blackcurrants and mulberries. A hint of coffee beans and baking spices round out the nose.
The palate follows through on the dark fruits, with more coffee notes, lavender and dark chocolate. A lovely, lingering acidity provides the backbone for the wine’s beautiful aromatics, and soft, plushy tannins give it an elegant, refined structure. Definitely a wine to be enjoyed now, this Syrah will also develop more complexity over the next 5 to 7 years.
