Review – Handpicked Selection

As a valued member of the Rondekop Wine Club, you have priority access to our newest releases, as well as exclusive invitations to bespoke wine dinners. This month, we are excited to present a special offer: a handpicked selection of wines from Private Client Sommelier, Stefan.

This exclusive offering allows you to delve deeper into our collection, exploring both our foundational wines and unique vintages that reflect our passion and terroir. Whether you are looking to expand your cellar or find the perfect wine for your next gathering, this selection is curated with your preferences in mind.

We invite you to take advantage of this unique opportunity and continue your journey with us.

3 x Chardonnay 2023 (5 Stars – John Platter / 95 Pts. Decanter)
Elegance with very subtle use of oak makes this a delightful wine to have on its own, or with food.

3 x Merlot 2014
Cooler climate Merlot is just special! More savoury, than fruity, with a touch of tomato leaf, makes for great pairings with traditional Italian meals.

3 x Cabernet Sauvignon 2015 (Limited re-release)
South Africa’s 2015 vintage is still considered one of the best, if not the best vintage of the last decade. This Cabernet is only now beginning to show its potential with more integrated wood and tannins, and a delicious long finish.

1 x Per Se 2018 Rondekop (Wine Club Exclusive offer)

Stefan’s personal favourite vintage. Although 2015 brought all the power, 2018 was the vintage for patience. This shows a more restrained Cabernet that truly takes time to unfold, particularly in the decanter or the glass. If enjoying this wine now, he would strongly recommend decanting for a good hour before savouring it. That said, Stefan recommends putting this one in the cellar and forgetting about it for a couple of years to come, it will only get better with age.

2 x Rhodium 2021 Rondekop – Bordeaux Blend (95 Pts. Tim Atkin)

If finesse and craftsmanship are what you are after, this is the perfect choice. Unlike the bolder wines in our portfolio, it captivates with its subtlety and layers of complex flavours, each unfolding gracefully and lingering on the palate long after the first sip.

The above will be made available for a limited time at R7 270 and will be delivered locally in wooden cases. To order, please contact Private Client Sommelier, Stefan Reinmuth. You are also welcome to adjust the quantities of the above to your preference. Certain Library Collection wines may be subject to availability and allocation.
