Review – Cabernet Sauvignon 2018

Cabernet Sauvignon has found its ideal terroir on the slopes of Rondekop – our mystical hill. The exponential increase in quality of this wine over the past few vintages is truly a testament to that fact.

The wine displays a dark ruby core, with aromatics bursting out of the glass. Mulberries, blackcurrant leaf, plums and graphite are prominent on the nose. A full-bodied palate follows, filled with dried figs, brambles, dark cherries and vanilla pod. Beautifully structured tannins and a balanced acidity creates a silky mouth-feel. This wine can easily be enjoyed now, and will also benefit from gentle ageing until it reaches its peak over the next 8-10 years.
